About
Blue Wheat Grass is informed by research into coastal spaces, and the plant forms that line rural beaches, that we walk along beside. The circular plate is both the sea and the moon, the grass both swimming in the water and blocking the blue light.
Process
This unique print was made using the process of cutting individual shapes from dry-point rhenalon plates and printing in a monoprint style through the intaglio press. Wheat press has been laid in between the paper and rhenalon plate to create a deboss texture effect into the Snowden paper.
This print was printed on an Italian FOME press at Jenny Steele’s studio at Rogue Artist’s Studios in Manchester, UK.
